Iowa Hawkeyes (Official Thread of The Under)

Damn, he's undoubtedly still in contention for B1G COY......

Iowa defeated Minnesota 13-10 on Saturday night.
It is the Hawkeyes' fourth straight win and with it, they improve to 7-4 on the season.
That win, coupled with an Illinois loss to Michigan on Saturday, means that Iowa now has full control of the Big Ten West division.
If the Hawkeyes defeat Nebraska on Black Friday, they will be going to the Big Ten Championship for the second straight season.

Hilarious and pathetic that no team in the west could muster up a slightly better conference season than this dipshit’s hopeless squad. Borderline nauseating

What's nauseating is the winner of The Game having to play them again. In all the talk of an expanded playoff, the thing you never hear is the ridiculousness of CCG's.

It's a pure money grab that bites conferences in the ass more than it helps them more often than not. This one in particular is pure risk with no upside for the East champ and the B1G.

$4M to be paid in Iowa football discrimination suit; Kirk Ferentz 'disappointed' in result

A $4.175 million settlement agreement has been reached in the lawsuit filed by a group of Black former University of Iowa football players who have accused coach Kirk Ferentz of overseeing a racially discriminatory culture.

The Iowa Department of Management’s State Appeal Board voted 2-1 to approve the settlement Monday afternoon, with the state on the hook to pay $2 million to the players.

Reaction to the settlement began early Monday, with Iowa State Auditor Rob Sand, one of the three appeal board members, saying he would vote against using taxpayer funds for the settlement unless Iowa athletics director Gary Barta was ousted.

Moments after the settlement was announced, Ferentz — entering his 25th season as Iowa's head football coach — said he was "greatly disappointed" in the outcome in a statement obtained by the Des Moines Register through his attorney, Jeff Stone.

Wait, so Ferentz will remain but somebody else will get fired?
Isn't this the golden opportunity to fire Ferentz for cause.
