Just lost to Illinois for the first time since 2008, 9-6. They gained 222 yards on 60 plays, including just 52 yards rushing on 30 attempts.

On the season, they are 3-3 and are averaging 14.7 ppg and are averaging 238.8 yards of total offense per game. They are averaging 2.6 ypc rushing and Spencer Petras averages < 6 yards per passing attempt. They're barely averaging 4 yards per play. They've been held to single digit points in half (3/6) of their games.

How an offense at a major college football program in 2022 can be that bad is nearly incomprehensible. These days, 35 ppg and 450 yards per game is almost a baseline. If Junior Ferentz is still the OC Monday afternoon they need to riot.

I am looking forward to the Bucks putting an absolute butt whooping on these guys so they shut up already! On a side note, I don't know how people can stand watching these guys as a fan. Iowa has scored single digits 3 times this year. Actually, it was 7 or fewer all 3 times. How far back do you need to go before you find 3 games where Ohio State failed to score double digits? My brother was asking me about this. Not knowing he was talking about Iowa (he calls it Iwa, because there is no O), I thought about it and came up with 2011. Going backward, Ohio State failed to score double digits against Clemson in 2016, they got beat something like 24-6 by Miami in 2011, and they got beat by Michigan State 10-7 in 2011. Or did I miss a game?

It took Ohio State 11 years to do what Iowa has done this year. Or actually, in just half a year.
