I see the same problem. We have serious deficiencies at LB and in the secondary with Bryant out (and now Roby)...everyone knows that and will exploit it. However, the DL is usually the equalizer that gets the stop and they are getting zero push right now. If they don't get the job done, there is nothing we can do to stop them, on the run or the pass. Bennett/Bosa/Hale/Spence need to step it up BIG TIME in the second half. Our offense will be fine, not worried there.

Their OL is playing a terrific game. That's been huge.

I still think we'll see some adjustments on defense that will shut Iowa down some in the second half. At least, I hope so. We should have taken the FG instead of going for it on 4th and 10 - it was the second quarter, not the final drive. Also, should have called the TO attempted to return the punt instead of going all in on the block. Had a blown chance to put some points on the board.

I don't really understand how that's the smoking gun. Their helmets aren't touching there. And a player's head can snap sideways from a normal hit.

If we are just going to leave receivers open we might as well send everyone after anything moving in the backfield. It's like this defense just attacks once every 7 plays or so and then goes to some kind of "allow" defense and lets an offense do whatever they want.
