I can't remember seeing this lack of focus from our Oline. Really the sluggish start in general. I hesitate to use the word complacency here, but I'm not sure what it could be.
This line is usually very stout against the run which is the one thing this defense was able to hang its hat on.

the coaches need to stop the panicky calling shit as well. 4th and 10 on the 29? Panic mode.

4th and 8? Don't call the time out, run a stupid punt block call and end up getting lucky they didn't call a roughing penalty.

don't hate to say it, it needs to be said. They played with fire against Wisconsin with the double shutdown offense and then won by the skin of their ass against Northwestern. Iowa took both game plans from those games, figured out what worked and is using it to perfection against Ohio State.

The problem is, and I really hate to say this, is that I don't think Ohio State has the overall talent to overcome such a gameplan.

It may need to be said but still hate saying it. or thinking it.

Horrific defensive first half, sketchy on offense, and still only down one score. Iowa knew this defense's bounty of weaknesses coming in and exploited them to perfection. Lets see if our coaches have any ability to adapt. We were down much more to NW and still pulled it out...
