Why the hell can't Wood come in any earlier than the 9th?

The Indians don't get many save opportunities. He doesn't pitch that much. An extra 1/3rd of an inning isn't going to kill him.

Paid all this money for him to sit on the bench when the club needs outs.

It was a questionable signing in the first place. The Cubs acquired Kevin Gregg instead for a minor leaguer and a salary half that size.

I don't know many of us that liked that signing because of his history. It's also foolish to pay so much for a closer when so many others can be effective at a much lower salary. Then again, that would take smart FA scouting, which this team sorely lacks. In the end, we're paying a guy eight figures when he's barely been more effective than Joe fucking Borowski.
