Fortunately, I think enough talent has been brought in with all these moves they've made that maybe Lewis won't warrant serious consideration for a roster spot next spring.

yea, you gotta remember whos running the team though

it took them quite a while to realize that Joe Borowski sucked

True, but if Wedge does indeed get his walking papers, some of the stubborness when it comes to certain types of players may go away. Or we can only hope...

Jess Todd kinda sucks too...these guys are making Felix Pie look like Willie Mays.

That includes a pretty good April in '08 before he got hurt and started this downward spiral. Those (11-15, 5.68) are about the numbers I think we can expect from him going forward barring a miracle. The guy was a headcase out of the BP in '06, somehow pulled it together for a good year, then fell flat on his ass again. That's not a good recipe for longterm success. The good thing is we have a number of good prospects (Carrasco, Rondon, Gomez) who may be able to step up in the next year or two and boot his ass out if he can't pull it together...and at this point, I doubt he does. He's just fucking snake-bitten. Call it Steve Blass syndrome or whatever. I see him as Joe Charboneau reincarnate on the mound.

Lewis, eh, he is what he is...roster filler.

Perez was lights out in '07 and pretty good last year too. This year has been a mystery. He's looked a little better lately and I think he'll be a part of the pen again next year.
