Indians Tidbits (2008 season)

In a way that is a shame, Miller has so much potential and because of injuries might never be able to play in the majors.

On the flip side, maybe the Indians should have traded him when he had some value.:!

Well the good side of all this is that none of his injuries have been arm/shoulder problems. So in theory as long as he takes care of this issue he should make a 100% recovery. I mean he did have a 1.88 ERA in his 6 starts this year. So it isn't stopping him from pitching well.

All this does is delay his development.

however, it may make him a bullpen guy instead of a potential #2-#3 starter.

The Official Site of The Cleveland Indians: News: Hafner put on 15-day DL

Hafner put on 15-day DL
Cortisone shot doesn't help sore shoulder; Choo activated
By Mark Dent / MLB.com

KANSAS CITY -- No. 48's locker in the visitors' clubhouse was stocked for just a couple of hours.

At about 5:10 p.m. ET Friday afternoon, a clubhouse attendant started packing Travis Hafner's jerseys, pants and shoes into a bag. The Indians designated hitter is going on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Monday, for a right shoulder strain. He left Kansas City before the start of the three-game series and headed back to Cleveland for treatment.

Outfielder Shin-Soo Choo, who's been on the DL, will replace Hafner and should be available Saturday.

It's about time they put him on the DL list jeez

Getting torched by the Royals (in the midst of their 11 game losing streak) and Gil fuckin' Meche again. :slappy:

And, seeing as Shelton is still sitting his fat ass on the bench, and tomorrow is June 1st (here in the desert), this is the last abomination I'm following until that useless pile of shit is canned, so need to get all the negativity out.

I guess the only good thing about having Joe Blow back is that while he gets your heart beating a little faster by giving up some hits he at least has now lost again since his return. I would have never said this before but he is almost a relief compared to Raffy when it comes to the closer role.

As bad as it sounds, you are correct. Joe Blow is a relief. hahaha

Today the Indians go up against Kyle Davies who has not thrown a inning in the MLB in 2008 and is 17-28 with a 6.24 ERA in his career

chances are they will make him look great, since thats what they do to shitty pitchers

the approach of some of these guys at the plate is ridiculous.

it's sickening to watch guys go up there with nobody on base and take meatballs down the middle and get behind. then when they come up with guys on base they flail at anything within 5 feet of them.

the bottom line is with victor going through one of his 4 week slumps, this team has nobody they can rely on offensively.
