I never like to see the "team quit" comments.
It's like I said, I'm convinced they think that higher ERA means better pitcher and they're intimidated by these scrubs.buckeyemania11;1195509; said:In the last 2 weeks this team has lost to

3 IP, 6 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 2 BB, 2 SO, 2 HR....season ERA: 7.53
Please ship his ass back to Buffalo, that scrub has no place in the major leagues.
It's like they expect him to suddenly revert back to his 2006 form before the league figured out he was nothing more than a garbage baller. Much like they keep waiting for Andy Marte to finally figure out how to hit, hmmmmm.....buckeyemania11;1195919; said:no kidding, he was also sporting a 1.80 WHIP and a .351 BAA before this game.......

Are our scouts and front office as good as Tampa/Florida???

Indians' pitching flaws exposed by White Sox Sowers' mound sins provide Chicago with a lead too large to squander

CHICAGO: Despite losing two starting pitchers to injury this season, the Indians have maintained a rotation that not only has been stable but also often excellent.
That might be changing. In the first day of an eight-game trip that probably will determine whether the Tribe can become a factor in the Central Division race, Jeremy Sowers allowed the White Sox to build an insurmountable lead and hold on for a 9-7 win at U.S. Cellular Field on Monday night.
Sowers not only yielded eight runs and six hits, he also lasted only three innings. He committed three mortal pitching sins: giving up walks that came back to haunt him, getting beaten by the home-run ball and failing to finish the job when he had two outs.
''I'd like to see him command the ball better,'' manager Eric Wedge said. ''That's his game. You can't work from behind in the count up here and then come in with it. He has to throw the ball where he wants to.''

Tribe recalls Mastny; Elarton goes home Roster change gives Buffalo pitcher another chance

CHICAGO: The Indians made an unanticipated roster move Monday, recalling right-hander Tom Mastny from Buffalo and placing Scott Elarton on the restricted list.
Elarton flew here from Cleveland with the team Sunday night, but asked to leave the club Monday and returned to Cleveland.
''There's not much I can say about it,'' manager Eric Wedge said. ''He has a personal issue that he has to take care of, and he headed out of here today.''
Players can remain on the restricted list indefinitely, and Wedge said he did not know when Elarton would rejoin the team.
Elarton's situation gives Mastny another chance to perform at the major-league level and possibly hang onto a roster spot (possibly Elarton's) with the Tribe. He spent two brief stints with the big-league club this season, from April 15 through May 11 and again June 2-4.
