I was looking forward to catching a couple Tribe games while back in Ohio for a couple weeks, now I don't think I'm gonna waste my money.

Everybody settle down. Remember a couple of things:

1) Indians win tonight, and they are back in first place
2) We still have a better record (barely) than the Tigers, so they are sucking now too
3) This is a murderous stretch of the schedule for Detroit right now.

LOT of baseball left.

my question is why the hell can't Peralta bunt the runner over? dude gets paid big money to play baseball for a living and he can't get be trusted to drop a sac bunt? ridiculous. it's not like bunting takes immense talent, just a little practice.

even if this team makes the playoffs, they're not likely to go far because of their inability to manufacture runs and their propensity to strikeout. that's a shame too because a 1-2 punch of CC and Fausto is about as good as you'll find in baseball.

...and nothing to give me a shred of optimism. This isn't a rough stretch where a couple things have gone wrong, we've caught some bad breaks or have just been mediocre. No, this is a very bad baseball team right now that lacks leadership, heart and perhaps most importantly coaching. I hope i'm wrong, and would be more than happy to chow down on a hefty serving of crow, but I am firmly convinced they are done after last nights debacle.
