Indians Tidbits (2007 Season)

Byrd supposedly purchased it from an "anti-aging" clinic (whatever that is) because three different doctors diagnosed him with adult HGH deficiency (whatever THAT is).

Anti-aging?! Hasn't he ever heard of Just for Men?

Note: Never do a Google Image Search for "Just for Men". :sick1: Especially at work.

Why don't you do a little research before you just are to ramble about someone's taking a growth hormone. Read this

Byrd told FOXSports that three different doctors told him he has that deficiency. In spring training, Byrd said, he was diagnosed with a tumor on his pituitary gland at the base of his brain, a condition that may have contributed the deficiency.
"I have not taken any hormone apart from a doctor's care and supervision," Byrd told FOXSports. "The Indians, my coaches and MLB have known that I have had a pituitary gland issue for some time and have assisted me in getting blood tests in different states. I am currently working with an endocrinologist and will have another MRI on my head after the season to make sure that the tumor hasn't grown."

Maybe this is a situation where we should hold off on judging a guy until all the facts are in.......sounds like it may have been for just medical reasons and not to gain an advantage......bad timing to say the least.
Amen to that. The timing is suspect, but it is what it is, and hopefully the Indians avoid having this disrupt their focus tonight.

As far as anyone saying Byrd should not pitch in the World Series, that's pretty premature. I'm going to hold off judgment until all the facts come out. Besides, his last purchase was before MLB made HGH a banned substance, so he never broke any rules.

Mostly I'm annoyed right now that Tim McCarver will be running his yap about this all night.

I gave up on the game in the third or fourth inning. As long as they keep their heads up I think they have as good of a shot at winning tonight as they did in the previous two games.
I was happy to see Laffey pitched 4.2 scoreless innings. About the only bright spot for the Tribe.
