Indians Tidbits (2007 Season)

Even though I now have a cold, I am still feeling good about tonight's game. I am personally changing the negative karma all Cleveland sports fans feel by not feeling negative.

Hey, you think it is too late to get LeBron to the game wearing a BoSux hat?
I'm with you. I still believe they can and will pull this out.

Please. Sush hasn't contributed to this thread outside of discussion. And then, all of a sudden, shitty news comes out for Tribe fans, and she posts a link on the thread to rub it in.

When the Indians win tonite, I'll brush off and say "who cares?"

Bullshit. Read the thread. I have contributed, and none of my posts have been smack. :roll1: Assuming you don't know how to use the search function, I'll save you some time: http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/search.php?searchid=1088031

It's really a shame this news had to break regarding Byrd. I'm just posting some news that no one has posted on here yet. That is all. Not trying to rub it in, honestly.

Cleveland is my 2nd favorite team. They were my childhood favorite. I want them to win, except for when they play the Red Sox. If they make it to the World Series, I will be rooting as hard for them as you will.

LMao , Now I know that I am not a fan of MLB but if I was rooting for a team in this it would be the Tribe. And if I was a fan of the Indians I sure as hell would not implode like a lot of you have done on here. Geezee people, If the Indians were good enough get into the playoffs and beat the Yankees then they sure as hell are good enough to overcome last nite's game and win the next one. There have been many times in baseball when one team blows out another and then what usually happens is the loser wins.
So stop with the whining and finger pointing and just cheer for your team to win. After all that is what good fans do.

Thanks for the contribution Sush. I'm sure you'd be willing to post the same thing on the Red Sox thread if one of them gets outed in the Mitchell investigation. Selective contributions rule.

That said, I hope the Indians send Byrd home and don't start him in the World Series.

I would bet she would post a similar piece of news on their site. I also believe Byrd should continue to pitch. I heard a little bit ago he was reborn in 2005. I wonder if the timing was at the end of his alleged use of HGH?

By the way, my favorite conspiracy theory is MLB and Fox has directed the umps to favor Boston in order to have higher TV ratings.

I think Fox definitely wanted this series to go 7 games. Their ratings should go through the roof tonight (unless there's a must-watch NFL game on).

I think the news about Byrd is worse for MLB than it is for the Indians themselves. This is an average pitcher who got busted - not somebody who is breaking records or bashing home runs. Furthermore, this is not a scrub like Jason Grimsely - this is somebody who has been going out and affecting the outcome of the postseason - particularly the fortunes of the Yankees and Red Sox, which unfortunately is a sin in today's baseball culture.
