Indians Tidbits (2007 Season)

It's frustrating to watch your two Cy Young candidates melt down in the playoffs. Yeah, Fausto wasn't getting the same calls as Schilling. But let's face it - he was going get blown up eventually.

Westbrook and Byrd are on borrowed time right now. Neither is as good as they looked in Games 3 and 4. But we've been getting uncharacteristic starts from all of our starters, so hopefully the trend continues.

Dice-K was actually better in Game 3 than he was given credit for - he had the hitters guessing. If Hafner and Sizemore don't come through in Game 7, it is going to be next-to-impossible to win.

Even though I now have a cold, I am still feeling good about tonight's game. I am personally changing the negative karma all Cleveland sports fans feel by not feeling negative.

Hey, you think it is too late to get LeBron to the game wearing a BoSux hat?

Report: Byrd linked to HGH

By Greg Lee, Globe Staff

The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that Cleveland Indians pitcher Paul Byrd purchased large sums of HGH.

Byrd, who won Game 4 of the ALCS, according to the report bought nearly $25,000 of the drug. The paper reported that the purchases were made via credit card from the Palm Beach Rejuvenation Center between August 2002 and January 2005. In that time frame, Byrd pitched for the Kansas City Royals, the Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Angels.
