Indiana Hoosiers (your shinebox, go f'n get it)

Literally behind an elementary school and across from the high school

The Hoosier Hop

Let's parents drop off girls of all ages in one place.

The money bad parents save on gas they can spend on more cigarettes and meth which, along with the strippers, keeps the three main pillars of the state economy healthy.

That's the question.

Does Cignetti stay at Indiana and become a legend with basically permanent job security? That program has been so bad for so long that he essentially has a job for life after only two decent seasons

Or does he go to a larger program and become just another coach, no matter how well he performs?
Just look at Nick Saban. Six National Championships and to Alabama fans he will always be in the shadow of Bear. Just like if Ryan Day won another 3 or 4, would never be Woody Hayes.

Does Cignetti take the money and become just another guy somewhere else? Or would he rather have buildings and stadiums named after him, even if it's in Bloomington?

Indiana. It's like this

For the record, that is in Fort Wayne, Indiana. That looked a lot like the Speedway Shopping Center, where I used to have an office. Friends told me that things had changed, so I looked it up. I burst out laughing when I saw that they had a Facebook page. Wonder if they run ads on WOWO radio, remember when they rocked AM radio with WLS?

I think Cignetti is a medium size fish in a small pond kinda guy, He can retire nicely on what he's earning, winter in Florida and be that happy legend in his own mind.
I hear you but the lure of money has gotten the best of many coaches. He makes $9mil/yr, but would he turn down $12mil from Florida for example?
Youre probably right and he could be content at IU with the low ceiling and little fear of being fired if he has several down years of 4 wins.

Yeah getting Indiana to the playoffs basically means he can do what he wants for about 5 years. His only danger if he starts making it super regular then has a falloff after expectations are set higher ala Dabo

He's 64 years old so if he can maintain another 2 years and still have a 5 year window to dick around, he could sit on that job until he's Bellichick's age.

$9 mil a year at IU with long-term job security is better than $12 mil and being on the hot seat after 1 or 2 disappointing years

$12 million in Indiana is equivalent to making twice that in many other areas.
