Game Thread Indiana at tOSU, Sat. Nov. 23, 12pm ET, FOX

RJ Young calling the game 35-31 Ohio State. I guess he doesn't remember less than two weeks ago Indiana being completely shut down in the second half (scored three points total) by Michigan, on their home field...
I think he’s correct on this one. I think with two weeks to prepare and our tendencies to give up some longer throws I’d be pleasantly surprised if we held IU under 21.

No clue what to expect from our offense so who knows but sort of like PED I think it’s really a toss up. I just have this bad feeling we’ll trip up because we won’t be able to be consistent enough on offense and we’ll not get off the field enough on defense.

Just a feeling though and hopefully we blow them out.

That right there may be the reason Scum had them on the ropes at home.
Very well could be. They aren’t very deep that’s for sure. I heard on the podcast (Bill Landis) today that Kamara their end literally doesn’t come off the field and they basically only play 5 people up front on defense.

So depth is a problem it seems like for them. So it’s pretty simple then… jump them fast and gas their team with physical play.

I should’ve added that I have a feeling we lose but I still think we’ll win. It’s an odd feeling for sure but I think it’s because we’ve lost a few starters now.

I agree. OL needs to be physical. Having a healthy Kacmerack (sp) back could be huge.

I am a little more concerned about Scum, than this game. Which in all is concerning. Lol

Silver Bullets are going to be motivated. The entire team and coaching staff will be also.
In all of this… this is actually the key to winning it all.

If we are going to win it all now down two starters on the OL then the defense starting this weekend needs to go to another level. I know we are basically number 1 in defense but have we really played like it vs great offenses? Absolutely not.

If we are going to win it all then we have got to take that step to being a historically great defense. I’m talking giving up 17 or less, turnovers created, sacks and getting off the field.

I know that last big step is in the guys. Now they just have to go out and play hard, physical, and sound defense.

Coaches going with experience. I think its the right call. Silver Bullets really need to step up on Saturday, hopefully get a turnover or two.
That's what I thought, with their defensive front it is not time to experiment and go with the best 5 that have experience. Siereveld playing a lot to start the year could turn out to be huge and also Hinzman playing lately. With all the OL injuries, the biggest help in the next two games as we adjust to the new lineup is that we are at home and the crowd better go completely silent when the ball is being snapped so they can communicate...our fans are smart enough though, I am sure that will be the case.

On defense, I do think we need a turnover or two as I don't see our tackling overall magically improving. Offense needs more possessions and that is the bottom line though whether it is getting off the field on 3rd downs and/or turnovers. Points allowed looks good throughout the year, but failure to get off the field is stifling our offense quite a bit.

That said, here comes the RB07OSU early prediction. I think we are in for a real battle here. IU has played a weak schedule but I think they are well coached and have a legit team (as much as I'm sure many don't want to hear, just being candid). I expect us to be down early and do our typical halftime adjustment to pull away. My predicted score is 31-21 Buckeyes.
