Here are the area football players who have early verbal scholarship offers in the 2013 class, according to area high school coaches:
Middletown QB Jalin Marshall (6 foot, 200 pounds) ? The standout verbally committed to Ohio State Jan. 30. He also had offers that included UC, Notre Dame, Illinois, Tennessee and Pittsburgh. Marshall is ranked the nation?s No. 41 player in the 2013 class by Rivals.com.
Hamilton OL Ben Flick (6-5, 280) ? He was offered by Buffalo last year. He visited Ohio State recently.
Fenwick QB Ricky Davis (6-3, 195) ? The Moeller transfer holds active offers from Akron and Bowling Green, according to Fenwick coach Fred Cranford. Both schools offered last year; Akron?s new staff has kept the offer active, Cranford said.
Moeller RB Keith Watkins (6 foot, 175) ? He was offered by Boston College this week. His first offer was from UC in November.
Northwest OLB Rasheen Jones (6-3, 225) ? He has offers from UC, Louisville, Kentucky and Bowling Green. Ohio State and Michigan are among others who have shown interest. He is scheduled to visit Ohio State this weekend.
Moeller LB Shane Jones (6-1, 218) ? He has offers from UC, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. Michigan, Indiana and Illinois offered last week. UC offered on Dec. 14. Florida State has also shown interest.
Moeller OL Alex Gall (6-5, 295) ? The offensive tackle was offered by Kentucky in mid-January. Florida State has also shown interest.
Lakota West OL Kyle Meadows (6-5, 295) ? He has offers from Louisville and Youngstown State. He is scheduled to visit Ohio State this weekend. He also has had interest from Florida State.
Colerain OL Dylan Wiesman (6-4, 280) ? He was offered by UC on Sept. 29. Ohio State and Michigan have also showed interest, according to Colerain coach Tom Bolden.
Walnut Hills OL Isaiah Johnson (6-8, 275) ? The left tackle was offered by Louisville Jan. 25 and Kentucky on Jan. 17. He also has an offer from Akron in basketball.
La Salle CB Jaleel Hytchye (5-11, 165) ? He was offered by Kentucky in mid-January, according to La Salle coach Tom Grippa.
