I wouldn't begrudge Nick Bosa for dropping out of school tomorrow and spending the next year working out with whoever trains his brother. I also think that any GM that would pass on him him for that reason alone is a fucking idiot. Same with Ed Oliver.

The number of players that could get away with missing a 2nd or 3rd year of competitive reps is also ridiculously low. Thinking back to pre-season, the only guy in the 2018 class that might not have been hurt by it is Sam Darnold, and that's almost entirely because of the position he plays.

Either way, fans typically have zero issue with non-performing players getting dropped and schools typically have zero issue dropping them. Whining about players looking out for themselves is still dumb as shit.
