Impending Assistant Coach Vacancies

Do we think Mattison is a good coach? Because I've never been too impressed with their defense, I know they rank well but seem to get punked by any team with a pulse, plus the whole thing is just awkward.

I thought he did a pretty good job. But I would hope that he is being brought here to do as some are saying. Be a 10th coach vet that can help guide another 1-2 young guys as DC, or soon-to-be DCs.

If he's going to be a sole DC though, I'd pass on that. And I think Day would too.

I know scUM's had some good defensive line players but as others have mentioned we still have Larry Johnson (I think) so I'm assuming Mattison is getting some sort of coordinator role. Odd.

I've always been impressed with what he did at Baltimore, as far as being impressed and them getting punked, that has more to do with there and the environment there, not him.

Schiano can take the D-Coordinator position in Indianapolis after Eberflus goes to the Browns (fingers crossed).

On the Buckeyes...this pretty much has to lock up Bill Busch from LSU, right? Buckeye secondary needs a lot of attention. Not sure why the need to load up on D-Line guys (Al Washington being another DL/LB).

Isn’t Eberflus in Dallas?

I think you can afford to bring in one future DC and one young-gun. So, you either take Freeman or Washington for the LBs or you take Busch for the DBs... the other role you go get a young energetic guy ala Hartline. You say that everyone will be locked in through 2021. Pattison can then retire, you move up Freeman/Washington/Busch to DC and replace Mattison with a replacement for Johnson when he retires.

This is so disgusting. Why are there so many examples of people ditching Michigan for OSU but never the inverse? Boren, Chris Rock (NTCR), Dakich, and now Mattison. Makes me want to vomit

Maybe because of whining bitches like you that infest the Michigan fan base. Make sure you salve those hands before wringing them so hard.
