honestly, I am not that enamored with Grinch OR Schiano. This defense blew a bag of dicks this year and I am in favor of blowing the whole thing up. For all we know the LB coach from scUM has been offered the promotion to DC.

No better knowledge of whose worth keeping on this staff than a fellow colleague. I honestly could care less about Grinch potentially departing if Day isn’t willing to pull out all the stops to keep him.

Honestly at first I was like OMG NO... took a step back and realized the following.

1. WSU did just as good without him.
2. He's not an elite recruiter. Just isn't.
3. He picked Pryor over White and it took a Jordan Fuller ejection for him to see the field.
4. His first season as buckeye DC we set records in a bad way. Coincidence?

White was our best safety this year and that includes fuller. So with that list of sturdy accomplishments I could care less what happens.

If it means landing a prime DC type like Bud Foster or Venables (not him but someone like him) then he can go to OU where they don't play defense just like our past years team.

you summed up my thoughts better than I could.
in regards to the White situation, whoever made the call to not play him should be publicly flogged. I also feel the same about whoever kept putting Boreland on the field. LB’s were too deep for somebody not to develop to put him on the bench. I do believe Day recognizes all of this and the next 7-10 days it will all become clear.
