Well like I said it depends on if Day is not enthused an letting him walk or is Schiano going to cost us Grinch then be out the door a few days/weeks/under a year. If it's the former it gets really interesting because Day can clearly Co-ordinate an offense to break a D so he could have his own ideas on what the D should look like which do not match those on staff.Ugh that sucks. I was excited to see Grinch put his mark on the defense as sole DC. With the improvement WSU's defense showed under him, I thought they could have an elite defense that could shut down a lot of the attacks we struggled against this year.
However if Day decided to let them both go...
if day is kicking both schiano and grinch to the curb, then it think it would be wise to do so only if you have a (really) good idea of whom you're going to get. that there might be "plenty of very good fish in the sea" isn't exactly an assumption that makes me feel all warm and cozy inside. despite last year's defensive woes, i'd take one year of continuity (minus davis) over gambling to form the best staff possible.Lamb is clearly suggesting it's the latter with his "OSU hasn't been reactive to anything" comment.
It’s Jan 3rd. Deep breaths.Good lord. This crap better not kill recruiting or Day will have no shot at being as good as i think he can be. Better get this staff settled and pronto

Day 3 and we have arrived at our first real "trust the coaches" moment
But what if Grinch and Schiano go and somehow Davis sticks on the staff.
