The pessimism on this board is starting to be too much. I'm glad the coaches don't think like you guys...they're going to bring in a monster class and if the season goes the way I think it will, they will bring in a surprise guy or two (Or 3) like Hargreaves. Watch. Then they will combine them with guys like Pocic, Bailey, Treadwell, etc. That's the definition of a monster class.

Well a lot of things haven't gone like I thought they were either, but I'm very confident it'll happen under Beckman. You can just tell by the man's plans, organization, attention to details, etc.

Kid's take on the spring game. Any guesses on what he thought?

I couldn't see the game on TV but after watching the highlights, I'm hyped up. Some big time players are lining up yet again for the Illini folks. We all know about Buchanan, Spence, Brown, Hawthorne and those guys, but man you have some true young studs in guys like Caldwell, Fergueson, Fuller, etc. The beat will just keep going. If they get a monster 2013 class, there is no limit (None...even NC) to how good the Illini could be in the next few years.

I just keep going back to Caldwell though because all along I thought he was going to wind up even better than Mercilus and Buchanan (Which says a LOT). That hasn't changed. He's going to be an early 1st round, top 10 (Top 5) potential #1 pick type of guy. He's a monster in the making. TheDawson made a comment a few months back that physically he looks like Demarcus Ware and I agree with that, but don't be surprised if he sees that tytpe of career/go in a similar way in the draft.

Hey once in a few years, great track record you have here. Oh wait, the Illini are going to win back to back to back National Championships over the next 3 years. Needless to say, the whole defense is going to be named to the All American team and there is at least 20 top 10 picks on this team right now. :crazy:

Juice came to the Illini and elevated them to the middle-upper half of the B10 (Though the record didn't show it in 3 of his 4 years). With everything in place now (Talent, coaching, etc.), Bailey has the potential to elevate the Illini to the TOP of the B10 and the top NATIONALLY.
