Illinois Fighting Illini (you'll see)

Two more in the 2nd round. And they still sucked. :lol:

But now that these 2nd round losers are gone, the schmucks be out of the way of the top-10 talent they were holding back on the depth chart.

I find your lack of faith in thekid101 disturbing.

Just wait. You'll see.

Some recent selections from our favorite nostradumbass:

ThaKid101 wrote: I hate when someone says the Illini can't recruit better than OSU or Michigan. It's just not true. But I'm not going to argue that. I want to welcome Schmidt and also say that I really like his film. He's tough, and he'll only get bigger. If he is really up to 270 now, then he is going to be very good sooner than later. Another very good pickup on the OL. Now they need to add 2 or 3 guys ready to play from day one (Pocic, etc.).

All I see is all these excuses about why they got them. The fact is they got them (And Liuget didn't have to have an OSU offer...he was/is better than any DL they've put out recently). The fact is they can compete with OSU and Michigan. I'm glad after Zook is gone there are still coaches who believe so. They're going to do big things and I can't wait.

Oh and one more thing...the fact is they can compete with them but they don't even have to go after the same types to be better. Illinois 2008 class********Michigan or OSU.

Fitzgerald has been clamoring for some attention from the Illini for a while now...and he gets it every year in the form of an *** whooping on the field.

Kid on Ty Isaac:

I compared him to Eddie George a while ago and then the big scouting services started doing the same. I can't say he'll be another George. but he has that type of potential. Hopefully he reconsiders but I'm very confident Beatty and Co. can land Taquon Mizell and another top RB.

Now the damn scouting services are stealing his scouting reports!!! :pissed:

Wrapped up in the stupid outrage over a talented player accepting an athletic scholarship despite being rich :roll1:

UCLA defends athletic scholarships
As Justin Combs, the son of rap mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, prepares to head to UCLA to play football for the Bruins next season, some are questioning whether the cornerback should pass on the $54,000 athletic scholarship awarded to him by the university because of his family's wealth.
...was this gem:
Combs, a three-star recruit who chose the Bruins over Iowa, Virginia and Illinois, went to Iona Prep in New Rochelle, N.Y., and reportedly graduated with a 3.75 grade-points average.
Did we miss a Kid outburst about puff daddy jr?

RE: FB staff being called "stupid" by tOSU?

A lot funny about this one...first off its ironic that somebody from OSU is complaining about early offers when the Illini are second only to OSU in the B10 as far as 2014 offers overall. Second, if the fact that they got Clements and Dawson didn't tell you anything (Along with the fact they are in the mix for a lot of other studs), this should tell you that the Illini are definitely back in Ohio. It reminds me the time period of when Scott committed, Fellows committed, they almost got Marcus Hall, etc. OSU is mad because the Illini are getting a jump on Ohio guys. It forces them to offer earlier, taking away efforts elsewhere. Beckman hasn't even been here a year yet I thought it would take longer to [censored] them off lol. Who cares though...I'm pretty sure the Illini don't care and they really don't care about what the guy says about evaluations. They got Clements before he blew up and Austin Scmidt the recent OL commit just got offered by Pitt and NC State. Again I'd say they're fine but this is funny.
Dawson = #77 CB, Clement = #40 DT...neither with a tOSU offer. :so:

Then he brings up two guys who they didn't get. God bless his little heart.

Re: College Football News Illinois Preview

I don't think people realize how close the Illini are to big things. First off they don't realize the talent on campus so I'm glad this preview has somewhat (I say somewhat because tney don't realize it all...they left two of the best prospects on the team off, two monster prospects in Caldwell and LaCosse, among others). I will keep saying it until I'm blue in the face but they just need two monster classes in a row...they're well on their way to that. I'm just really excited.
Monster class:
4*: 1 (#7 qb)
3*: 7 (#67, 77 cb; #34,40, 46 dt; #47 te, #68 ot)
2*: 2 (#100 ot, #96 rb)

"Monster" :rofl::rofl::rofl:

He HAS to be trolling them, right?
