I agree Starbucks, it's taunting. Payback is a bitch, revenge is a dish best savored cold, got you last, wait until next time......

However, folks, I don't believe that Coach Tress will ALLOW the Buckeyes to reciprocate when OSU visits Champaign next year. That will speak louder than words (or at least I hope so).......there's been waaaay too much frustration on the Illini's side, but they were waaaaay outa line.

Realistically all except ASU has avg poss of losing twice, all at least reasonable poss of one loss. Would take alot but in this years college game anything is possible. Ohio State would have to beat Michigan by 20-30 to get the voters to even see them as back door worthy and then anywhere from 5-8 teams to lose. Kansas is in a dogfight right now along with BC which would keep Ohio State in the 5-7 range if both lost. With the Big 12 mess, poss. of usc helping us, Sec to play out, Big east has a mess brewing(Cincy wins vs WVU and WVU beats UCONN) and end of year rivalry games, the possibilities grow. and considering if OSU ends this week from 5-7 we need only 3-5 of those teams to lose. Not unattainable. But man i wish we woulda won to clean all this up.

and BC is now done putting us in the 7-8 range. 2 of three will lose in big 12 at least(puts bucks @4-6), usc can beat ASU, WVU very well could lose again(cincy, uconn, or pitt)(osu at 2-4), so the only real big upsets we would need then would be 2 of 3(LSU,OREG,OKLA) and ill i-o myself i guess

As for next years game? That'll be the 3rd toughest game on the schedule behind USC, and Wisconsin. The whole "we're going to crush them" and "just wait till next year" talk is a bit brave for just losing at home, having everything on the line, and against a lesser talented team then what they'll have next year at home. I'll be happy to just win there next year. They're going to be mighty good for years if Zook can continue to recruit

Actually it was my brother's reception; we had a small family wedding over a month ago and had massive extended family ceremony today. I had the radio on for the first score on the way there, 2 freaking plays...I was going crazy. Then blackout, no radio or TV... I believe god has punished me for turning away.... I feel, guilty.

And no, I sir, am not married nor do I intend to be any time soon... (see, "age")

btw friends, this was only 8 points away from being the BEST post of the year.....

Not to disagree again, but games should be ranked as follows:
1) _ichigan - always #1....I don't care how many people they lose - they are always the #1 hardest game to win b/c of the rivalry.
2) agree - USC is #2 but by an inch as it is a non conference game. Being in LA...that makes it significantly tougher,
3) Illinois and Wisconsin will be difficult in Zima/Urbana and Madison...

Zook gets a lot of heat for what happened in Gainesville, but he is a pretty damn good coach.

By the way, OK State is making things interesting in Stillwater.

I hope like crazy we can get back in the NC game hopes because I would take it any way I could get it. However, I would rather play in a competitve Rose Bowl than to get blown out on the National stage again. I'm not sayin we would, but if we struggle against a 1 demensional Illinois, and a banged up Wisconsin team I have to think we COULD struggle with someone with the talent of LSU/Oregon.

The only people I hear discrediting our team are media types...and WTF do they know? Most of them never strapped on pads. You don't see me critiquing the sousaphone player's F minor in TBDBITL...

For sure Michigan is usually our hardest game but next year couldn't be much better for OSU.

1. Michigan loses a lot on defense (again), they lose Henne, Hart, Long, Manningham (he will declare), and Arrington. That's too much to replace coming into the shoe.

You're correct though.. I've been impressed with Zook for what he's doine since he's gotten here. I've seen so many people bash him and understandably so, but the man can get talent and as we found out today he isn't too bad at making that talent perfoorm either. Who was the poster who said that "this is the kind of game Zook will win".. I remember earlier in the week a poster of another fan base said Zook will blow a game to a lesser team but will beat someone like the #1 Buckeyes. I thin it was a gator fan? Whoever it was he couldn't have been mor correct!! Come forward cuz I want to give you some greens

As for people and their perception of OSU. We had a chance to shut them up.. We didn't do it and I'll always believe OSU is an elite team, but I have to agree with some of what they're saying. We haven't played many teams that could challenge us (not our fault), and the big ten is down right now I think. (again not our fault). While we shouldn't be thrown under the bus for playing in a conference thats struggling, we can't act like we play elite teams week in and week out.

I think only Jenkins (maybe Gholston) leaves... no one else will go. James' family is ok money wise, Freeman isn't there yet, Boone can still use work after todays game, and Robo isn't consistent enough yet.

Honestly I think the only one right now who SHOULD definatly go is Gholston. Jenkins is good, but where has he gone the past couple weeks????? Man he's a play maker and he's been limited in production. The coaches better figure out a scheme to get #2 in the thick of things!
After watching #6 for Wisconsin for two weeks straight I will say that he's the best corner I've seen this year includin our own.
