IL OL Erik Swenson (Oklahoma Signee)

I get processing. OSU has done it. SEC schools do it. It happens. But pulling this kid's offer two weeks before signing day when he's been committed to Michigan since 2013...since before the new staff took over...is especially deplorable. Unless there is more to the story...ie some sort of transgression by the recruit...then I just don't think there is any way Hofbrau comes out of this looking good.
Yes, in fairness, this is not a unique situation. I remember a WR, whose name escapes me, from Palm Beach County going through a similar thing quite late in the process with OSU during the Tressel era. He ended up at NC State I think. And this happens elsewhere. A kid is going through a similar thing with the Vols right now.

That does not make it ok. "Deplorable" is a fitting description. And TSUN is still a refuse pit.

I don't like it. I've said as much, even when Ohio State has appeared to have done it. But this situation is particularly egregious.

Washington was either a flip or a last minute decision between OSU and NCSU. That was '02 (Hawk, D'Andrea, etc.), I believe.
Washington committed to Ohio State, then flipped on Signing Day to NC State.

Because Ohio State was reserving a scholarship for Washington, the Buckeyes didn't have a scholarship for LB Buster Davis, who ended up having a pretty good career at Florida State.
