Good thread, some good posts and some really narrow-minded ones. I for one am not impressed with anyone who would turn their back on their child for any reason, let alone their college of choice. I'm an Ohio State football fan, as true as one can be. However, I'm a bigger fan of my kids, and would support them 100% in whatever decision they made. And, if it happened to be at scUM, then for thoese 4 years I'd still be a Buckeye fan but would also be a scUM fan, and when the showdown in November occurred, I'd be hoping that my son's team won.

All of this, of course, after I took a paternity test to make sure that the kid was actually mine.

If my kid said "I'm going to Michigan", I would pull a Sonny Speilman with a "Bull****, your going to Ohio State" In all honesty, I would try to raise him right but there is no way I could ever root for that school, only for my son.

If my son was a tight end with a good set of hands, I would strongly encourage him to go anywhere BUT Ohio State, otherwise he would get my honest opinion that although I would love it if he choses tOSU, any decision he makes would get my full support.
