If Tressel retired today, who would you want to replace him?

I don't buy Glen Mason. Nothing against the guy, but I think he's good at making bad programs mediocre and mediocre programs good, but I don't see him running an elite program like Ohio State, which I imagine is why he didn't get the job the first time.

I'd personally go for someone with more upside, like Karl Dorrell or Dan Hawkins.

Meyer would be an interesting selection.

Personally, I think Bob Stoops would be a great fit.

I think that Dan Hawkins would be an awesome fit, as well. I like the way he coaches his players, and the intensity he brings, as well.

So, I'd have to say Dan Hawkins.

Hawkins, Meyer, Hill.

I just like the way their teams play. It's a no BS type of training that goes on (err... Hawkins does his own thing, but can you argue with results?). But all three coaches teach their players to play hard all the time.

Didn't Stoops turn down an interview?

Glen Mason if he wasn't such a carpet bagger. That has been his biggest downfall. Didn't he accept the Georgiua job and then backed off while he was at Kansas?

Alot of questions here...or is it my part-timer's?

I'd like Stoops, but it seems like that would be a tough acquisition...Meyer would be good as well

My feeling would be that it would be a relative unknown, maybe someone that was an Assistant at OSU but is now in the pros

I personally am not sold on Urban Meyer. The guy just supposedly got involved in recruiting violations in Florida, and he led Utah to an undefeated season in a shithole of a conference, with their BCS bowl win coming over the Big East Champs, Pittsburgh, who weren't very solid that year. Also, he led the Gators to a Capital One Bowl Victory last year in Florida. I know he just got a great recruiting class this year, and supposedly he's a very solid recruiter, but I'm just sort of hesitant on the guy.

How exactly does going undefeated, winning your BCS game, and producing a #1 draft pick hinder your resume as a coach? I mean what else could he have done better?

This is pretty tough. In Cooper's final years I would have rattled off a dozen names as I was so frustrated with his coaching. Tressel has raised the bar to the point I cannot think of one coach who can touch what he has done on and off the field. To me he is a once-in-a-generation coach.
