Idea to Redout Penn State

Here is a normal game at the shoe. And the white out of OSU last year.

Everyone does not wear scarlet, but because a large number already do, it should be easy to get it almost solid red.

White-out actually has a meaning other than that which was used at the game. Its(whiteout's) meaning completely made sense with their ultimate goal that day. It fit...was clever, in a 4th grade kind of way. WTF is redout, other than a cheap imitation (copy) of PSU's idea?

You're welcome to make the suggestion, but be prepared to be disagreed with strongly :)

1) It's SCARLET

2) PSU has a much larger student-only section. That makes it much more 'impressive' and easy to pull off.

3) I hate copying other schools, least of all PSU. The white out is probably the first original tradition in a while for their weird students. Wisky, PSU, Wake Forest, etc all use that stupid jumping around techno song. That cat growl is used many places, tho it would not surprise me if PSU uses it more than everyone else combined.

4) OSU fans almost all wear buckeye gear, but its not all scarlet. I was surprised how much white/gray was worn the first time I went to a game in the shoe. The times I've gone to a game, it has usually been more of a checkerboard than a sea of scarlet.

I could care less about wearing red shirts or copying anything else about Penn State. As long as we don't play that stupid fucking song that they played the whole fucking game I will be fine.

I will also be drunk on whiskey, so I got you covered on that one Grad.

1. The OSU AD is too stubborn and stupid to make one unified student section. Just about every other school in the country does, but OSU doesn't.

2. White Outs, Maize Outs, Gold Outs, and unified student section T-shirts are for teams that also produce "Return to Glory" DVD's after they suck continuously for a prolonged period of time. It just screams "look at us, we used to suck more than we do now, so now we love our team again."

3. You shouldn't have to be told what color to wear on game day. OSU fans should always wear scarlet.
