O2 of 88 or lower (given your COPD) and you should most def be checked out... (and given some oxygen.) Just my $.02, free of charge for you, of course.

Blaming sickness on alcohol? Disgusting.

I haven't had the flu for a looooong time. I've had the beer flu a few times, but nothing too serious. Usually got over it with a heavy dose of more beer.

Now I'm thirsty.

BB, drink some beer. Alcohol kills germs.

I see you have read my book about positive drinking Buckyle.
Had me some alky last night and then used my old stand by Nyquil (which also contains alky i think) to get a good nights sleep.
My cold has moved on . The sore throat is gone and so is the ague. Now I have congestion in the Bronc s and nasal.
Should be well enough tomorrow to go to work after I stay indoors today and nurse myself.
The wife went out galivanting around down to Columbus yesterday and wasn't here t make my breakfast today. Grrrrr.
Good thing I know how to fry sausage and eggs from my bachelor days on just a few years ago..
anyway thanks for the well wishes and advice.

Just got over the flu this past week myself. Woke up Sunday night/Monday morning last week in a sweat, listening to my stomach make pinging sounds like 'Lard Ass' at the pie eating contest in Stand By Me. Went into work last Monday anyway, but wound up going home after 45 minutes because I felt so weak and confused. Woke up later that afternoon with a fever of 102. Started getting over it within 48 hours, but never had an appetite for a full meal until last night.

That was the first time I'd been really sick in a long time. Gave me new found respect for Michael Jordan's "Flu Game" in the 1997 Finals.

Yeah a lot of stuff has been going around...My mom's been sick for almost a month. (Home from work every day, isn't hungry, vomitting...) They say it's a virus, but I really want her to go the hospital, because she should be starting to feel better by now
