Hypothetical Championship opponent ?

Any SEC school except Florida. The conference is so overrated.

ND or USC because we would score 1342 points on either.

PSU...just because they can never be beaten enough.

Florida because I think it would be a good game.

LSU without a doubt... I grew up in Baton Rouge, all of my family and friends went to LSU, and I've been waiting for that matchup. Of course, though, any thought of productivity at work during the month and a half leading up to the game would be out the window.

Since that was your first post on this board, I'll forgive that comment. Productivity at work does not exist once you start posting on this board more. Regardless of what time of year it is. Welcome to BP.

Ohio State vs. Alabama. Unlike Oklahoma or USC, who between the two of them have been in virtually every championship game this decade, Alabama brings the dimension of the return of a classic.

Second choice, Ohio State vs. Miami. The rematch would be fun, given the bad blood that exists, at least on the part of Miami fans. How many times would the pass interference be replayed? How many times would Dan Fouts be given the opportunity to opine that Miami got hosed? It would be maddening, but it would raise the anticipation level.

you do realize that the only people still bringing up the pass interference call are buckeye fans and bandwaggon miami fans... im a miami fan myself and i also like the ohio state... the call is in the past and aint shit to do about it... calling it cryami is a little immature... just like rasheed wallace would say "both teams played hard" and yall won its over... shit it was 4 years ago now... lol... but damn it would be good to have that as a rematch ohio state vs. miami

Given that I didn't, it's not clear why you make that point.

Of course few people bring it up now, because it's not relevant to anything currently going on. But if there were a rematch, there is no question that that would be part of the hype, and that it would be mentioned on every single preview of the game. And there is no question that there are Miami fans who think The U got robbed, and dislike Ohio State particularly because of it. Which as I said, I think would add to the excitement of the game.

I want us and ND to go undefeated and they would play us in the national championship. There will be so much hype and ND will obviously be favored (come one there ND, ofcourse they will) and then we will just completely destroy them. that would be perfect.

I personally would like to see us play ND in the National Championship if we make it there. There would be nothing better than to beat Charlie Weis after he's had a month of preparing for a second time, beating Brady Quinn again, and silencing ND fans, yet again.
