If you want to talk about teams that are owed a beatdown, you can start with the SEC, and you can thank John Cooper for that. Even with his best teams, he'd manage to lose to scUM and land the Bucks in the Citrus Bowl, which he would also lose. Here's a list of teams from the Cooper era alone that are owed a whoopin':

I'd want USC, personally, because I live in Trojan-happy LA.

But I'd also hate to hear "Dude OSU beat a USC team without half of the talent it had from last year alone. And they play in the shitt Pac-10 conference and didn't even deserve to be in the championship. What's there to be proud of?"

So who do I want?

A Notre Shame beatdown would be perfect because I think Weis is a shady character who needs to be brought down. That 10 year extension bullshit that they pulled when the previous coach didn't even get his full chance really. Yes I read all those "Why Charlie deserves his extension over Tyrone" websites, and I still don't agree.

And with the ND Hype Wagon in full effect, espn bobbleheads and their bobblehead CFB watchers wont be able to pull the overrated garbage (though they will be massively overrated).

So there's my pick.

Ya know, i was thinking about putting the "tOSU beat an overrated WVU team" comment in there, but i knew someone would say something to me about it. And i actually agree with you. Yes the Little East is a horrible conference, but they did beat an SEC school in their championship game. Georgia, which was #8 at the time lost to WVU, and the only other team that WVU lost too was VT. But again, they didnt really play anyone apart from VT, UG, and Louisville. They went 2-1 against ranked teams last year though.

If WVU goes through their entire schedule and completely dominate each team, they could get there. They would be underdogs to any team they faced, but still i think they are a talented group.

Completely agree with RHBuck, I've been looking at various pre-season message boards from from consenus top 25 schools --- can't believe how ND seems so full of themselves. It would be nice to see a re-match since we won't meet them, other than in a bowl game. ND fans seem to believe Charlie & his Heisman QB are destined to reach the promised-land, no one will be able to stop them with all the talent they posses and Charlie will have weeks to prepare for any opponent.

A tOSU repeat, this time in an NC game, might quiet the Irish. But maybe not, they'll be touting that Claussen will save them the following year.

personally I'd like to see us play Tennessee...I think it would be kinda cool for them to play against us because both of our fan bases are pretty good...them or Florida and urban meyer to show deonte that we can play some damn good football even with our northern speed

The guy who lives in Tallahasse...yeah that's me only in OKC. I've lived in Northwest Florida and now OKC and well... OU is the only team they care about around here its not even close. Even in Tallahasse you compete with the Gators and Miami for the fans. So multiply those idiots by 10 and you get Sooner fans. I think everybody should just change their mind to OU because of the pure amount of satisfaction I would get from flaunting I'm a buckeye.

I am wondering why this isnt a poll?

Nothing would give me more pleasure than an old fashioned sack o' hammers beat down on Notre Dame.

The only other team that we are likely to see in the NC game, that I would would want to see us beat as much is Miami.

Beyond that, I dont care who we kick the shit out of.

damn...This whole thread is really screwing with my superstitious nature...:p

If we are fortunate enough to make it...(there, that shouldn't anger the football gods and should alleviate any possibility of me jinxing the season)

1. Notre Dame - always want a chance to beat them
2. FSU - that Sugar Bowl still bothers me, payback time
3. USC - classic match up and we owe them as well

Screw Notre Lame. I don't want them to get a sniff of a NC game. I don't want to hear all the shit that comes along with that. We could beat them 63-0 (that would be nice) but no matter how bad they may get embarrassed in a game against the Bucks, there'd still be full month of them getting fellated by everybody with a typewriter, microphone, or camera. I don't want them playing in a BCS game - I want them playing on blue astroturf in Idaho in December.

Ok, im convinced. I just sat in on a forum watching a guy bitch about how ND was screwed out of the Fiesta Bowl game. Lets take them again with an offense that started click after the PSU game. I say Tressel plays no more "Mr. Nice Guy" and totally unleash on teams like Texas did to every single team (with the exception of OSU).


And i agree with the supersticious (SP?) guy. I really dont like to debate with people who we should face in the NC game. We gotta get there first, and the first team that is in front of us is Northern Illinois.
