Two tornado warnings in effect. Fucking awesome.

Saw what looked like some slow rotation near my home on the north side of the county but no funnel cloud. Yes, I'm one of those idiots that runs out to my front porch to look at the clouds. :p

Funnel cloud sited north of Springfield (near where the wife works).....reported touchdowns in South Vienna and West Jefferson and a shit-ton of hail in Nerk.....

Looks like Athens County was hit by a couple twisters yesterday evening. Lots of damage reported, but so far no deaths.

We had a huge, but quick, thunderstorm here the other day and at least one tornado in Brooklyn, that killed one.

I loved the brief thunder and lightning I heard-- I was on the subway for most of it. I actually left work early at the first thunderstrike to try to get home and enjoy it. I really miss thunderstorms in Ohio, which were so common. I used to sit on our swing in the screened in porch and watch them with my mother. I absolutely love thunderstorms. . .

Very rare stuff for here though.
