There is a storm early next week that, as of right now is going to head about 50-75 miles east of todays storm... That means the new target zone could be from Delaware to Zanesville and down towards me in Athens.

Knowing my luck, it will do what it has been doing all winter and shift northwest giving us a boatload of ice...

nyc got about an inch or two this morning and it has been raining since noon, so most of it is either gone or its slush. BTW, nyc has the worst street drainage ever. whenever this happens, the slush blocks the sewers and the water piles up on every street corner in the city. there is about 4-5 inches of slush on every corner just off the curb.

I got about 8 or so in Powell.

Keep an eye on next Tuesday or so. Another possible big storm forming, though it could go east of us. It has the makings of being a blizzard for someone in the east......a lot more wind will be involved with this one.

It never ceases to amaze me how people who live in NE Ohio and NW Pennsylvania drive like they have never seen snow before, year after year. I'm buzzing along at 40 mph today. The speed limit is 50, but the road is snow covered about an inch deep. After a few miles I come upon a line of cars going FIFTEEN miles an hour.

Who is leading this slow parade? A fucking four wheel drive Jeep Cherokee. Amazingly, when we came upon the steep hill just outside of town, she - of course - doesn't accelerate, starts spinning halfway up , and THEN decides to hit the gas. Well, if you've driven on a snow covered hill, you know how that ended up.
:shake:
Fortunately, where I was now stopped was close to a turn off, and I knew I could make my way to work on that detour. Unfortunately, a couple of my coworkers were stuck behind this dope, and they got here about 30 minutes after me. They were not amused...and they confirmed my suspicion of the driver's gender, having finally gotten around her while she was stuck in the ditch. :wink2:
