I don't envy the slushy, muddy mess they'll be dealing with.

I lived up there for ten years. Most winters by mid October the snow comes and you don't see grass until April. I've follow the weather up there since I left and every now and then you get a winter where the downslope winds come in and stay put for a month or two and the temperature stayas in the 30's and 40's. But they inevitably go away and this happens again
