Yeah fuck off.

The roads are a complete shit show 48 hours after the event. I'm used to massive stupidity from the city of Columbus and various townships, but this is a complete failure by ODOT. Ridiculous.
I worked in snow removal in Anchorage, the city contracted out most of the work which was very efficient, if you're depending on civil servants you'
re going to have a hard time.

We had a full on flash freeze though....and with subzero temps the salt combination they are using is literally frozen in the trucks and clogging up the auger so it won't spread. It sucks

My conspiracy theory is they brined like usual, burned that set of hours, then the rain - quite predictably washed the brine off the road - and they were left behind on available plow time.

There's no excuse for a ford fusion to get stuck in a drift on High Street in Clintonville in front of me because they hadn't plowed by noon Saturday. (And it still hadn't been done at 10 pm. Henderson road, also untouched. I'm not talking back wau township roads here).

(I realize I'm not bitching about ODOT streets here but i could compare and contrast 315 and I-70, etc. There weren't enough crews out at the times that made a difference.

Daughter here for a month from her condo in C'bus. Seems to like our weather somewhat more than what she left behind. We've had half hour frost delay at the golf course, so very upsetting . Sorry for all the folks slogging through the snow and ice - especially places that not used to it (Seattle) etc. Places like Chicago, NYC, etc are used to it. Would hate to drive snow plow through those crowded city streets.
