I have friends here from back east that have said the same thing.People don't understand how much colder the temperatures seem in the desert. It's like the hand of Death is on your shoulder. That's why I usually don't leave the house!
I moved here from Alaska and I don't even own a jacket, when it gets cold in the morning I just tough it out bec ause it's always 50 degrees by noon. I had a coworker though who was from upstate New York and he moved back because he swore that 40 degrees here feels like zero back east. I don't get it.It’s a “dry” cold.
Severe thunderstorms with wind gusts over 80 mph, potential hail and tornadoes in north Texas tonight.
California has been getting reemed all winter, Yosemite got 15 feet this weekWhat a mild winter we've had in NE Ohio. Minimal snowfall, few Arctic cold days...so we'll probably get a blizzard in late March.
Even southern Cali is getting it in the mountains
