yeah we're ducking out just before the next one hits.

didn't make it to the coast yet. how would you say it compares to nor cal?

From Cape Mendocino north pretty simliar--except that all Oregon beaches are open to the public. One of the best short hikes on the north coast--Cascade Head--is an easy day trip from PDX.

Portland. Snuck in a mini vacation in SE Oregon (Crater, Paulina, various tiny hikes) before some work weeks just south of Portland. Also worked in Multnomah, Triple Falls and Mirror Lake. Snuck in a 12 mile hike to see about 6 separate seculded lakes, was not ready for that

My first cousin on my mother's side is up there, quite a character, if you ever see him or his truck you won't forget him

Cold and the sun has gone into hibernation. But, at least I don't live in Buffalo. Forecast for the weekend is measuring the potential snow in feet, not inches.
