Had some real nasty storms move through today. Couldn't see beyond my patio for a bit it was raining so hard, and at least 3-4 lightning strikes within like 20 yards of the house (somehow didn't lose power, though!) that were really damn loud and bright.

Oh, and the construction guys left a little gas can on the side of the road across the way when they went inside. I was just waiting for that to get struck, but it didn't, thankfully.

High was 92 today.

Not much humidity.

In the parking lot of the place I was going to meet some friends for drinks after work I overheard a lady exclaim how hot it was and that the "global climate change" was getting worse.

When I looked over, I saw a presumably retired person (had a health care worker with her) with full length black (probably polyester) pants and a TURTLE NECK SWEATER on.

It is August.

In South Florida.

Why in the fuck are you wearing FULL LENGTH BLACK PLASTIC PANTS AND A SWEATER??

Jesus.

Exxon and their scientists and tiny minded little followers told me so.

Shortly before they released had documents exposed showing they knew it was true all along and tried to hide it from small minds that think "big heads" are somehow evil.

Also: leaded fuel, tobacco, etc. How many times do corporations have to destroy Americans with well paid publicists before people think, "hey, maybe, just maybe, they don't have my interests in mind." Oh, and btw, kill the EPA, a goal of many candidates.

There should really be an IQ test for voting.
