Howling here. Not cold, but often darkly overcast and windy. Have a back window that needs replaced, so on days like this it's like the soundtrack for a ghost movie in here--wailing, shrieking, whistling.

Somewhat weather-related, the waves on the North Shore of Oahu are the largest in several years. Some reaching a peak as high as a 5-story building.

My little tidal wave obsession pre-dates that movie, but yes, I have watched it. Quite a few times. Tea Leoni's horse-tranquilizer-overdose performance drives me to watch it every time, for much the same reason I watch Sofia Coppola in Godfather III: To Watch Them Die. Because they deserve to. Because anyone who has ever been paid actual money to leave such a repulsive imprint on film should die. I'm a vindictive bitch about things like that.

Let's see. Cold. Really Cold. Snow piled up to my ass. I'm working 3rd shift right now with a 35 mile commute so I get to drive in only the best of road conditions. ( please note sarcasm) and I live out in the middle of nowhere which means crap roads on a GOOD day.Two more storms in the close range forecast along with below zero temps and wind chills. Furnace died last week. 1500 bucks I didn't plan on spending right now.
