Friend of mine sent me a pic of the lake 6 hours ago and it was calm water. Sent me a pic 20 minutes ago - frozen over. My gauge says -7.

I know its cold in Columbus - I'll even grants that its really, really cold, but man, this coverage is ridiculous. They're acting like its never been this cold before. This is ridiculous, its two days of sub-zero temperatures, not the snowpacalypse.
Yeah, I just found that the hard way. I had to stop downtown on my way home and made the mistake of taking 3rd south off of 670. Funny, I don't remember the river being there?

Got to work OK this morning. Left for an hour for lunch and go back OK. Went to my car shortly before 5:00 to warm it up and it wouldn't turn over. Wouldn't even make a half ass attempt to turn over. Before I even heard a knock from the starter the fuse box under the steering column started clicking. Guess my car will be sitting there until Wednesday or Thursday.

Level 3 due to cold and blizzard conditions outside even though it's not snowing. It's -15 in Toledo and the record was -20. Another level 3 means we stay home again and stay warm. Not sure the cars will start anyway.

Wow, you are so cool. By the way, each time you tell us one of these stories I find them less and less believable.
I do random, sometimes stupid things that generate stories. Believe what you'd like. I'm not one for lying - especially when the truth is just so much more fun.
That said.
-8 here now. Starting my car was quite the chore. Wind has died down a bit, thank god. The sun is out so that helps a little. It's still cold enough that you're more numb than freezing. Fortunately Mayfield is at a stand still, so I'm leaving work at noon. Not sure who else is in the Cleveland area but 90 West after 305 and you get lovely patches of thick ice on the highway. Be cautious, friends.
Edit; oh shit and I see the Cavs just got Deng. Weather be damned, it's a good day.
