Tornado warnings in the county south of me, and the storm is moving N/NE at about 35mph. I've always managed to comfortably miss a truly damaging tornado, but its sounding like this storm might not be so kind.

Atlanta is up next and then unfortunately Upstate SC. Out of town on business, but the wife and kids are back there; with the storms supposed to hit early-early morning. Looks like not much sleep tonight.

Missed my house by less than 3 miles. 56 confirmed dead in Alabama and the number is expected to go well past 100. Whole towms wiped out. People buried...its sad.

Nothing left of Cordova...Hanceville and Cullman got destroyed...Tescaloosa aand Pleasant Grove got hit bad. There are reports coming out of Calhoun county...many many missing people.

Looks like the tornado-producing stretch is going to end up just east of me by the time its far enough north. Van Wert doesn't need another massive tornado, though. Hoping nothing major develops on that trailing side that has yet to come around. I won't be surprised if the roads surrounding me have me "flooded in" by the morning.

I was watching the videos at weather.com. The last one was horrifying... someone runs under an area covered by a gas pump sort of roof just as the whole thing is pulled up and tossed away.
