Eight is pretty low for that team unless Predator gets hurt (and that's certainly not out of the question). Personally, I'd like to see them come into Columbus undefeated and have our team skull thump them. It would be sweet, sweet payback for those Cooper abortions of the mid 90s.

I'd say Alabama is a probable (66%) loss, and they'll drop either Sparty at home or corn aggy on the road.

That puts them at either 10-1 or 9-2 coming into Columbus.

Yeah, let's have Michigan slay the defending champs and premiere dynasty in CFB, then go on to the B1G CCG, where there's no well-rounded ballclub to face them from our crippled division.

All while OSU isn't allowed out of the starting blocks until 2013. Hoke's success in recruiting & football is centered around Michigan's revival due in large part to OSU's lengthy downturn.

If OSU had hired Meyer after the Sugar Bowl, completed their bowl ban year and were a darkhorse title contender and definite B1G contender, then maybe it would be intriguing to have a powerful rivalry game and then stick it to them.

But hoping they are dominant in 11 of 12 games and achieve something Hoke has never done, (potentially) win a championship, while OSU is still not allowed to participate...

...all so we can spoil a title run...

Sorry, but I was kinda following you until I read the bold part. It might just be me, but I do not consider the 2011 season, one single year, to constitute a "lengthy" downturn.

Michigan's "revival" (another word I would take exception with but not now) has much more to do with a competent coach who hired an extremely competent d-coordinator replacing a buffoon. Hoke and his staff had significantly more success with DickRod's players than DickRod could even begin to dream about.

Now I really don't care how many, or how few, games TSUN wins this year. I know one game that I expect them to lose and that one is what really matters to me. That one is what matters to most of us, especially this year.

What really upsets me the most, is that it took until this post, I believe the 6th post in this thread, to see the ever so simple way to express one's feelings........Fuck Michigan!

I've enjoyed the last few years, but I've enjoyed the rivalry when it's been balanced a lot more. And for that to happen, it's going to mean that Michigan occasionally wins championships. I also don't think Ohio State's sense of self worth should be dominated by a need for Michigan to do poorly. It just reeks of aggy little brother syndrome.

Spring 11 through Jan 1, 2013 is a lengthy downturn in terms of giving Michigan momentum. Even if they go undefeated this year, they're still a sanctioned team with a senior class of Ohio recruits that has too many defections.

I think urban will right the ship and start climbing up fast this fall, but between postseason eligibility & local recruiting battles, OSU can't return to the top of the B1G & Midwest until next offseason, unless you are one of the few that believes Dymonte and others are flipping.

We all believe he will return them to glory, but the uncomfortable reality is that he is shackled until year 2, which is year 3 for Hoke.

Don't let them build an even bigger lead before starting to chase them down at the end of November, especially if that head to head battle doesn't keep them from going to another BCS bowl, this time as potential league champs (picking up recruiting momentum from slaying Bama)

If Michigan is anything like last year, they shouldn't win more than 8 games. They just seem like a horrible BCS bowl-winning team. But when I look at the schedule, I don't see 4 losses. I see a 20-point loss to Alabama, but I'm only 50/50 on Michigan State and Nebraska. So call that 2 losses. I think Ohio State beats them too for only 3 losses. I don't think the Big Ten is good enough to put Michigan in their place.

Those are all good points and make sense. I don't follow recruiting at all, so it rarely factors into my opinions. I'll meet you halfway and hope they drop a game against Sparty or Nebraska and a loss to us knocks them out of the CG.

Still torn on the bama thing. I just can't stomach that SEC!SEC!SEC! shit. I'm going to have to hope for Michigan to pull out a sloppy victory where both teams look like crap. If they were playing Okie or the Spoiled Children, I wouldn't have a problem watching them fuck it up.
