How does work make you feel today?

Found out last Sunday afternoon that my company is being acquired. :shake:
Lots of potential positives and negatives with a [Mark May] ton of unknowns. Looking forward to the next year.

So the new director of sales just hired two new guys, of course one is a colleague from the company he came from. As part of this he reorganized all of our accounts. In the process I lost 10 million dollars in pipeline that I have gone out and developed over the last 2 years. He is of course handing this to the new guys coming in and oh by the way you still need to hit your goal, but I will back you if you don't (WTF). Now if he would have offset this with accounts that had similar opportunities, that would be something. But no, he put restrictions on opportunities in the other accounts, which means I have 0 coming in and have to go prospecting all over again. And for some reason this jackass can't understand why I am a little pissed off.....seriously what a moron...

I am honestly just to old for this shit. I don't want to go back out there and find another job and start all over, but I may have to. I figure I have 6 months to 9 months tops to see what I can land.

Edit: I think I now understand the redistribution of wealth...

Probably got a guy fired today. Not that it was my fault, or my choice - I'm not in charge of anybody here - but part of my responsibility here intersects with HR/personnel in such a way that sometimes I am the one who has to make the call that gets someone fired. It never feels good ruining someone's weekend like that.

I've been throwing around the idea of looking for a new job for quite a while. I currently have a very good job, but the location is really lacking for myself. I've lived here almost all of my life and I wouldn't mind moving to a bigger city where there are more things to do and places to go. Ideally I'd like to move west and be closer to the mountains (Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, etc). What would my fellow BPers do? Stick with my current employer or make the move?
