Yeah, we get a fair number of the "I'm sure I could do it myself" types....its a bit annoying, but I can deal with it. But these people that come in spouting off about this and that without having a clue about it drive me nuts. "That's not taxable. It's the law". Uh....what? Yeah, it is.

Question for you CPAs since you've hijacked the thread, what are tax implications of individual investing in REITs? Wanted to know what kind of paperwork is involved come tax season. Is it a simple 1099-DIV or will I find myself in Schedule K hell like with LPs?
