How does work make you feel today?

Had a phone interview this morning for a position that a friend of mine submitted my name for. I had a very vague knowledge of the role other than BDM. The very first question the person asked is "Why do you want to leave your current company". Being a veteran of interviewing staff for positions, I find this to be one of the most useless questions that someone can ask, especially to someone with close to 30 years of working history. Gee, my boss is an asshole, I want to make more money, etc., etc., etc. Seriously, WTF do you think I am going to say? Followed this up by asking another great question about what I like doing with three options. Remember I have minimal knowledge of what the role is other than BDM. After I answer, he proceeds to tell me what the role is which is not necessarily a BDM role.

Hey, but companies have problems finding qualified individuals right.....:roll1:

Statements & invoices sent. Letters drawn up to dispose of some unwanted clients within the next 2 months. Leaving here before 10 AND my wife is out of town. Headed home to drink some beer and watch some playoff hockey. You're goddamned right I feel good.

Get off shift at 8AM. Get home by (hopefully) 9AM. Get to sleep until 4PM at which point I am going to pick up the wife's Jeep from the dealer (it had a recall for the gas tank) - back to the apartment, hit the showers and then to the CBJ game. And immediately after the game, going back to work, probably in my CBJ jersey and with no voice from heckling Crysby for however many minutes I can when he's close.

Made it through to the next round at really big insurance co. I'm very hopeful at this point, thankfully all of my eggs aren't in one basket. Meeting with a friend in the industry to go over details and what he thinks they aren't telling me (if anything). If anyone is in the financial analyst/life insurance field, a PM would be appreciated.

Is anyone here a hiring manager?

I'm trying to figure out what format I want to use as a resume, and have 2 different ones, but not sure which one would be better. Can I send anyone the 2 I have and get their opinion on which would would be better from a manager's point of view

Couple of opportunities for new positions that I am meeting with folks on this week. One is actually a company I have been talking with and meeting with for about 6 months off and on. The other is from the phone interview a couple of weeks ago. I must have done ok with the "behavioral" questions that I so loved. This guy wants to meet for lunch at a pretty nice place. Lunch interviews are always a little disconcerting trying to find the right balance of eating and talking. Anyone got any good advice?

Here's a question to you all. Let's say you have a manager that is a hard worker, knows her business and always turns a profit but is borderline autistic/asperger, has zero people skills, treats the people below her like slaves, no empathy nor compassion, constantly shorthanded because people with any self respect quit on her, surrounds herself with incompetent flunkies who kiss her ass, runs off anyone who stands up to her, cuts corner and quality to make her inventory appear better than it really is and doesn't follow orders from her higher ups from corporate that aren't there to check up on her to make sure she's doing as told. Is keeping her around worth the low moral and the high turnover in her department?

I have had a couple of good interviews with one company, but haven't heard back in over a week. I liked everything I heard about the position, the company and the person who would be my boss. I have been reading that you really need to ask for the job if you want it. So, I got aggressive today and put together an email with the top 3 items I would do for them and asked for the job. Here's mud in your eye.....
