How does work make you feel today?

Why is it so hard for people to just fucking communicate with one another???? I am so tired of beating my head against the wall :smash:

I mean really, is it that fucking hard to pick up the phone and call, or respond to an email if only to say that you will respond in more detail later.

It is so great to find out from your boss in a meeting with the client that something you thought you were to do, like go to a foreign country to work with this client, has changed and you are not going anymore. I mean really, really, you couldn't take the fucking time to call me and let me know that things had changed....

:pissed:

That is what a good bottle of scotch in the desk is for. :wink2:

Wonder-Effing-Ful.

They tell me to go to school in the evenings and get an MBA (which is why I'm not posting much these days). Now, as I'm getting close to finishing, they say, "well, you're probably going to look for a job when you're done, so we went ahead and hired your replacement. Oh, and we can't really afford to pay you both."

I'm still SEVEN MONTHS from graduating, and I told them repeatedly that I wasn't job hunting at the end (I'm on a succession plan for my admin's job, so no need, really).

I am currently unhireable, because nobody will believe that I want to continue on a research track when I'm working on a business degree, and I don't actually have a business degree, so nobody on the admin side will even talk to me.

I haven't been given a timeframe for when I need to leave, so it's probably not urgent, but I do not need the added stress right now.

So how was your day?

I can probably get you a job running a forklift, but you need to relocate to pataskala. :p

I am a budget cut as of July 31st. I am searching after 33 years in education as a teacher-coach-principal-district level administrator. Still a lot of gas in this tank.

Every day is a new challenge so one must stay positive and focused.

Dang insurance sure is expensive if you have to pay for it out of pocket.

There's a "state" of our industry meeting (state is quoted, because that shows up in the calendar) this morning first thing. They let go of a large amount of people yesterday in another department and the president met with our managers for about 2 hours yesterday. This should be a fun day....

Update, those left standing in our company *only* received a 10% paycut. I'm standing, but wondering who's hiring?
I'm sure that sexual harasser supervisors will look back at these economic times - with the massive job cuts, RIFs and health insurance crisis - and think, "Those were the good old days."

So. Which secretary did you keep? :sneaky:

It makes me laugh right now. Had me cursing like BUCKYLE about an hour ago.

Got home in GC from one work at 6:45 knowing I had until 8 to process payroll for other work. Go to load my backed up files onto home computer and realize....I never upgraded to the 2011 software at home. Awesome. Fly to Westerville and get it done with about 10 minutes to spare.

This is the 2nd year in a row Memorial Day has turned this particular payroll into a complete cluster fuck. I'm going to go pick a fight with a vet.

Look for my obituary in the paper!
