How does work make you feel today?

So I had that huge QC issue back in the fall that took over a month just to keep our products our of B/O stage.

We sent the rest of the product back to the manufacturer (over 80,000 of these things). The manufacturer was supposed to go through it all and once done with QC, we were going to order more.

We placed an order for like 50,000 of the product that was supposed to be 100% perfect. It's a disaster just like before. My boss' ideas to fix it is idiotic and the manufacturer has lost a customer. And I'm stuck here dealing with this crap 1st hand

Full day of school plus learning fair until 7:30. Seven angry parental emails this morning mostly revolving around grades. Can't wait to see how many of them march in here to turn the learning fair into their own public bitchfest. Should be a good one.

I feel for you. I'm sure you'll handle it great, but its amazing what parents will do these days. I'm sure that these are the parents of kids who don't turn things in on time, turn them in unfinished, can't follow directions, etc.

Working from home everyday and loving it.

I am getting more work done, have more time for working out and haven't worn socks in 2.5 weeks. Life is good.

I have to go back into the office in a couple weeks though...

I want to do this so bad :(

I relocated halfway across the country and get to work from home for them temporarly. I have an offer from one company here (not a step up though) and just got an interview with one of the top companies I targeted for tomorrow. Prayers, positive vibes or whatever you believe in are welcome.

Farewell pot-luck at work today, commencing in about 45 minutes. Brought some of my infamous nuclear chili, and for a change people actually brought decent shit in (hot cheese dip with chips, Korean bulgogi, pork adobo, pizza, Chinese fried noodles), instead of bringing in Popeye's chicken and McD's chickan nuggets...

I went to a pot luck with my wife a few years ago. We made something nice and everybody else went to the Walmart deli.

Spent last week at corporate. I left shaking my head relative to many aspects of the business. We have a great product, but leadership just can't wrap their hands around how to sell, deploy and mature the product.

There is tremendous infighting about the product direction and what we can and can't do and will and won't do in the future. There is tremendous pressure from the Board and President to get sales. And then there is the backlash from the implementers relative to all of it. Even better yet, there is a power play by one person trying to get their hands in the whole cookie jar. That person just so happens to be my current boss and IMHO is clueless about our industry and our clients needs. They all talk about team this and team that, yet it is all so very I driven. In meetings everyone just tries to talk over someone else. No listening just dis-function.

One of my cohorts relayed to me that it was 9-5 for them and just doing what they needed to do to get by until things shake out. Truly sad.
