So what did everyone think of last nights episode? I want to know what Mrs. Petrelli's power is! Also I think that her husband not looking at the camera in that picture had some signifigance, we have never really seen him up to this point, I am sure there is a reason. What power does Matt's dad have? And along those same lines, what power did Sylar steal from tha tkid he killed?

The episode was ok at best.

I thought that Matt was a real douche. He is about as mature as Claire.

I don't think that car thief boy had anything for Sylar to steal. His head was bleeding, but not hacked up.

I think that flyboy isn't a good guy, and that he is stalking Claire.

Not sure about bringing in the Veronica Mars chick next week, but who knows.

There definitely weren't enough answers in last night's episode for my taste.

So Mrs. Patrelli is feeling a little remorse for her past actions finally. Big whoop! I'm also interested in what her power is, but for it to not have manifest itself in a more significant way to this point, I'm wondering if it's going to be rather lame.

I'm thinking that since Matt can read minds, then maybe his Dad (ala Nightmare Man) has an even more developed power (that maybe Matt could eventually develope) and he can enter into and possibly even manipulate ones thoughts or even actions.

I was asking my wife, what if Nikki / Jessica didn't remember doing some of the things she was doing for the Company because someone was "controling" her. What if "nighmare man" manipulated Nathan into killing Hiro's Father (in his weakened, self-loathing state) but he doesn't even realize he did it. Hiro's Father would have recognized him (knowing Mr. & Mrs. P) and probably would have been shoked that he might be going around killing off the "originals". Nathan keeps seeing that altered image of himself (at least I assume it's supposed to represent him) ala Jessica / Nikki.

And Sylar made a weird/quick comment to Maya last night that made him sound almost a little like he was partially trying to proclaim some degree of innocence for his past crimes. When Maya was trying to tell him that they did kill people, but it wasn't really their fault / they couldn't help it and he (Sylar) said something like "I know exactly what you mean. People blame you for things that you couldn't control." or something to that effect. I'm wondering what he meant by that if anything.

And while we're on the subject: What's up with the roaches whenever Sylar is around...shown when he was captured by the Company, when he was supposedly dead from the final battle with Peter and Hiro, then after he offs the California / Jersey kid. Are they supposed to simply represent that Sylar is one hard, dispicable bug to kill, or is it forshadowing something much more?

And as the powers goes from killing the kid...I don't think he got any, or even intended to kill him assuming he had any...only to keep him from calling the cops, allowing him (Sylar) the chance to get back to the States, Suresh, and possibly find out why the twins are looking for him (and then immediately does discover that they have powers).

I'm sure we're going to find out that Nikki's family is connected to the original 12.

I wonder if even Sylar might be more deeply involved via family ties than was developed in season one. That seems to be the running theme this year: The main characters are not only bound together because they all have genetic anomolies, but that their parents / families had them, knew about it and were part of some past movement / company / group experiment gone wrong.

Anyway...can't wait for Monday! Come on Matt! Go kick your deadbeat Dad's ass and save Molly!

When Sylar looked at that kid (and Maya) you could hear a faint ticking sound, that means he could "fix" them, aka steal there powers. And yeah I am almost positive that the flying kid is no good.

As became evident last week Sylar is (for now) out of the steal a power business. (And the kid had nothing to offer).

No, Sylar is out of the using powers business, but can still steal them and I am positive that the kid he killed had powers because of the ticking sound we heard when Sylar looked at him.

I think the Madagascar hissing cockroaches symbolize just that. Again, listen for the ticking when Sylar looks at him.

Just read a rumor that the new character (Kristen Bell - electric girl) about to be introduced who is looking for Peter might be Claire's sister / half sister (so I guess Peter's niece also?)

Damn, everybody is related in this show. ("Deliverance" music playing in my head :tongue2:)

Yeah, it is crazy how everyone is related. But if you really think about it, it makes sense. If you have "special" DNA it would lead that your kids would have it too. And we don't know all of the parents yet.

But Claire has another "sibling"? Make me wonder when Nathan's kids will show their power?

It seems many are related. And we know that as early as the 1600's, people were developing powers because Takezo Kensei can heal. My first thought concerning them being related was to rebuff it, because everyone save DL and Hiro have been white. But going back 300 years can solve that pigment/nationality speedbump. And the emergence of the Guatamalan fraternal twins who have the power to cause damage and reverse it adds another nationality to the mix and Micah's cousin in New Orleans who can master things by seeing it once on tv adds another african american. I'm also convinced that Mohindar may also have powers beyond his blood being a natural cure for the virus that is killing heroes all over.

The time span would also explain the distance between the current heroes, being's they are spread all over the world.

Claire's new beau just strikes me as a bad guy. He's working for the company.

Speaking of which (I'm still unsure whether I find him genuine or devious, but) the one thing I keep thinking regarding West is:

West talked about being abducted by the Company (i.e. having the neck tatoo and speaking of recalling Clair's dad, "the man in the horn-rimmed glasses") so now Claire is expectedly going out of her way to keep the two of them apart, so that West won't know that her father was the one who abducted / abused / tested / whatever...

...But when Claire first was being dropped off at her new school, West almost ran her over in his car and Bennet was right there and it seemed like West looked right at him. Now maybe Bennett didn't recognize West (kids change in appearance so much even over a few years, and he was inside a vehicle) but how would West not immediately recocnize Claire's father, having made that kind of impression on him?

Maybe he is working for the Co. (as you said) and that's why he didn't freak out when he saw Bennett, but then why would he even mention his "tramatic story" to Claire, knowing that it is her dad (having seen them that first day of school) and if he works for him / used to work with him?

I don't know.

Nightmare man (Parkman's dad) may be the baddest sumbitch on there.

Now I thought just the opposite...yeah his power could really eff you up, but when I finally saw the "dreaded" Nightmare Man, my immediate thought was, "shit, he isn't the 'super evil' villian that the writers were trying to lead us to believe...he's just a sniviling, dirty, selfish, loser who uses smoke, mirrors and your own fears to keep himself in hiding while eeking out a sad existence."

I think the show is setting things up where each of the main characters (from season one) will have their own personal battles (some with each other) crossing paths and even working against each other, only to come around to once again fight against a common cause/evil (Kensei?).

I think the Company is working hard to confuse the do-gooder crew, so they distrust each other, wondering who is really genuine in wanting the common good verses selfishly minipulating people for their own perposes. I feel like Matt, Suresh, Bennett, Nikki, Hiro, Peter, etc. will be at odds with each other at some point before figuring out that the Company is screwing with them and taking it down.

It always leaves me with more questions than answers, but I guess that's what keeps me coming back.
