You're gooddoes the catholic church consider alligator to be "meat"?
just curious, because my grandmother still makes damn sure I follow the whole no meat on Friday's during lent.
The archbishop said he agreed with the parishioner that the alligator is a “magnificent creature that is important to the state of Louisiana” and which is also “considered seafood.”
No, honest Ma, it's OK. Right before I slaughtered it, the cow had waded out into our pond. Pretty sure that made it seafood.
well while some might do that, given that Gators spend a tremendous amount of time in the water, being Catholic I'm ok with this ruling. No, honest Ma, it's OK. Right before I slaughtered it, the cow had waded out into our pond. Pretty sure that made it seafood.
The search for a Missouri couple suspected in a series of robberies and abductions in Alabama and Georgia ended in the Florida Panhandle early Friday with authorities there saying the man is dead and the woman taken into custody.
Blake Fitzgerald died and Brittany Nicole Harper was wounded and taken to a local hospital, according to a statement from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
No other details were immediately released, but local news outlets report that shots were fired after a chase. In online video posted by Pensacola, Florida, station WEAR-TV, a volley of gunshots can be heard amid flashing police lights.
Authorities have linked Fitzgerald and Harper to a series of crimes in Alabama and Georgia, saying the offenses fit a similar pattern: People are robbed, kidnapped and let go unharmed, usually after a vehicle is stolen.
Before that, police in Joplin, Missouri, had wanted to interview the two about a Jan. 22 break-in there in which guns were stolen from a home. The couple is also suspected in two Florida robberies in Walnut Hills and Destin on Wednesday, U.S. Marshals spokesman Martin Keely said.
Calling them a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, the U.S. Marshals announced Thursday that they were offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to their arrest.

Drunken thieves apparently attempted to make off with a 25-foot dinosaur model on the Isle of Wight.
Godshilla, as the triceratops is affectionately known, was photographed by Chris Hollinghead as he drove through Godshill on Saturday night.
Owner Martin Simpson said it was “probably four or five pretty hefty lads who’d had a bit too much to drink.”
“I mean it’s typical isn’t it? I go away for the weekend and someone kidnaps me dinosaur,” Simpson told BuzzFeed News.
