Yeah, the way that OSU was set up in their bracket, they had possibly the hardest path ever. But can you imagine if OSU had Ped St or Texas' ranking? They would've won by even more! Clemson and SMU would've been destroyed by OSU, JJ Smith might've had 200yds against one of those teams

I still can’t get over the insane turn around from the Michigan loss, to absolutely steamrolling everything in their way en route to a National Title. I said it in the Tennessee thread, I wasn’t necessarily confident going into that game, because a soul crushing loss like that usually results in everything sort of falling apart. That players only meeting with only their Head Coach paid off huge. I think it took some weight off Day’s shoulders, and the result was him putting forth aggressive game plans that play so well into how this team was built. No need to play tight and “weather an early storm” with this team, because they were the early storm.

Hats off to you, Coach.

So, we have a head coach that has one of the best winning percentages in the history of college football. The best winning percentage amongst active coaches. Who has been a HC for only six years but has already taken his teams to two National Championships. I'm not great at math but I think that equates to one every three years. This year he won his first National Championship.We are the most fortunate fan base in the USA.

You mentioned that they were the early storm and that made me go look at some drive logs. In 4 first halves in the CFP, they punted a total of 6 times and 4 of those punts were against Texas. Against UT, OU, and ND, they had 16 total first half drives resulting in 10 touchdowns, 2 field goals, 2 punts, 1 missed field goal (at the end of the half), and 1 turnover (that should have been DPI). Against the #4, #7, and #16 scoring defenses! I knew they were good, but writing it out like that, holy shit.....it's insane just how amazing the offense was in those games. I don't know that it is realistically possible to be more efficient than that.

All of this makes 13-10 maddening.
