HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

That’s what I hope… just throw everything at every game. If you lose then who cares but at least you didn’t go out like a bitch
Or hopefully Kelly and Day actually watch game film on opposing teams and actually utilize their mismatches. And realize they have some of the best WRs in America

That’s what confuses me.

Wouldn’t you have everyone in the room go “ok so where is our best matchups? Also where are we overmatched?”.

Seriously those two questions should shape your game plan. I can save the staff some research too with some expert analysis. JJ Smith has an advantage over whoever is guarding him and that includes if he’s doubled.

He should have 12-15 targets every game.

There was no voice of reason anywhere in the room last week. Lol

i can imagine a conversation that would go something along the lines of, “what if martindale breaks his blitzing tendency?” to which the answer would be, “as long as he doesn’t bring extra pressure, maybe we can counter with trying to run?”

and even without blitzing, if i recall, the stats showed* that he was able to get pressure on howard, collapse his pocket and take away his scrambling lanes.

* i will double check how many pressures howard had

EDIT: tcun pulled off a pressure rate of 49%!!!

Santa came way early for old Wink. What game planning did he have to come up with, when the opposing team runs up into the most fortified part of your D and with a new group of offensive linemen? Lol
