HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

I will say for all the consternation we fans have on the outside, Day seems to have a heck of a group inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. And they have his back.

While we think the Buckeyes are a sinking ship doomed to failure, he’s got guys inside (Burke, Hancock, DL) and outside (Howard, Judkins, Bama Center) bought into what Ohio State is doing.

Winning the off season doesn’t guarantee anything, but it sure helps in college football to stockpile talent. He’s done that by a lot.
Woah, sinking ship? I don't know about all that. You certainly could say the captain of said ship needs to get his shit together but there is definitely a hell of a crew manning their positions. If we don't win it in 2024 heads better freaking roll!

Not sure I’ve ever gone from such a low to such a high from season end to January 12! I’ll give Day some credit here. Clearly he has these guys bought in and hungry, now follow through!

Yeah, Day and the other coaches are sure doing something right (i.e. recruiting, transfer portal, returning players, coaching changes, etc.) since the season ended........:boogie:

If I’m Ryan Day, I’m hiring 1 or 2 of those extra ‘analysts’ that Saban had on his staff. Give them the same positions at tOSU, and then pick their brains regarding Saran’s methods for game prep, scouting, practice schedules, and whatever other techniques and strategies that helped keep him at the top for so long.

Part of what helped keep him at the top for so long:

One thing I loved about Saban, which I think just now Day is starting to show, is he doesn't care if he hurts feelings. You owe it to your team to give them the best chance to win, so put your ego aside, stop calling plays, recruit the best and if players want to leave because of that - adios. If coaches need to leave, cya. That cut throat, every day is a competition for everyone and no spot is given but everything is earned is his culture and his teams have always reflected that.

We are likely headed to a place where P5's separate from the NCAA in the very near future and FBS will have their own commissioner, and I sure as hell hope it is Saban because he genuinely cares about the sport first and foremost.

Before we win it all let's beat scUM. He really has zero excuse for losing to scUM this year. Should be a firing on the spot if he loses to them again, at home, with all we have coming back + added and on the flip side with all Michigan is probably gonna lose.
Why not admit Michigan had a strong team and the game was in Ann Arbor? Over the years both teams have made close games out of what should have been blowouts. You won’t find a more equal rivalry anywhere else in college football.

Day has shown that for his whole tenuere. His first act as coach was shitcanning the entire D staff then hiring two away from TSUN. Whatever you think of his hires. Hurt feelings isn't one thing he's ever cared about
